Eurobodalla NP, Montague Island & Narooma Sightseeing Tours now booking

Our photography holiday tour in the Narooma region of NSW includes:

1. Three nights, four days withapartment accommodation in Narooma.
2. Visit to Montague Island for whale watching, fur seals or penguins depending on the season.
3. Photograph from inside the lighthouse and capture a different perspective of Montague island.
4. Take photographs of panoramic views.
5. Walk the islands tracks to catch bird life in your cameras view finder.
6. Visit many locations on the fabulous Eurobodalla National Park coastline.
7. Make your own designer cheese in Central Tilba at the ABC Cheese Factory. This includes a visit to the dairy farm which is a beautiful location.
8. Capture a Narooma sunrise and sunset ( weather permitting).
9. See Narooma from up high with views over the harbour and out to Montague island.
10. Migrating whale and seal watching (seasonal)
11. Aboriginal Cultural Tour takes you to one of the most significant sacred aboriginal sites in Australia on top of extinct volcano Mt Gulaga. Lynne's people go back at least 10,000 years and are famous for their work with Killer Whales and Dolphins when they used to hunt fish and whales.

Finalisation of Blue Mountains Two Day Sightseeing Tour

Next week we will be finalising a new circular two day sightseeing tour to the Blue Mountains National Park. The tour follows the Bells Line of Road from Windsor through Bilpin to Mt Wilson, Bell and Mt Victoria before joining the Great Western Hwy. Blackheath is in the itinerary with an overnight stop at Katoomba.

The second day is spent at lookouts and in the rainforests and waterfalls of the Jamison Valley.

The tour will start and finish at Penrith with overnight accommodation in Katoomba

Included are mountain panoramas, rainforest, quirky cafes, cliff walks and lookouts. The tour will be available all year round operating throughout the seasons. We will be there to catch those stunning autumn mountain colours, you never know there may be an opportunity to catch some snow .

Group size will be limited to six people.

Lynne Thomas on Mt Gulaga

Whilst in Narooma last week I met with Lynne Thomas (photograph right) and accompanied her on a cultural tour to the top of Mt Gulaga one of the most significant aboriginal sacred sites in Australia.

The journey by 4WD along Mt Gulaga's steep track was exciting. We crossed a couple of creeks which were crystal clear and well worth a photograph.

Eventually we stopped at a locked gate, grabbed our packs and set off up the track. Participants will be driven to the locations..

After arriving at a track junction Lynne welcomed us on behalf of the ancient ones and then led us into one of the most significant aboriginal sites in Australia. The ceremony was incredible! Experience all aspects of the welcoming ceremony and hear the stories of the Dream time and Mount Gulaga which have been passed down to Lynne by her ancestors when you come along on our tour.

Lynne is the daughter of famous Yuin elder Gubboo Ted Thomas who was revered for rescuing the culture of his people.

Lynne who has a passion for the environment and her culture is finishing her education degree at the University of Wollongong and is also involved in the education of students and preservation of her culture.

Suzanne and I are delighted that Lynne will be running her tours as part of Australian Photography Tours Narooma.

Lynne's aboriginal name given by her father is Malleema which when translated means 'Wild Bush Spirit Woman'.

Royal National Park, Wollongong, South Pacific Ocean, beaches, flora and fauna sightseeing tours

Tour itinerary

1. Walk through the RNP to the northern cliff tops. Here you will see some of the best coastline on the east coast of Australia with stunning views to the north and south. This is a gentle return walk following the sandy Coastal Track through Australia unique flora. With luck catch a Wallaby, White Bellied Sea Eagle or see the Humpback or Southern Right whales migrate north in the right season.
2. Visit the superb Wattamolla beaches and inlet - Royal National Park.
3. Journey south along the beautiful Sir Bertram Stephens drive and enter Northern Illawarra to visit native animals at Symbio Wildlife Park.
4. Stop at Stanwell Park kiosk for refreshments. This is a surf beach and beauty spot in its own right.
5. then cross over and stop to view the coastline panorama from the Sea cliff Bridge.
6. Continue your journey towards Wollongong stopping at a surf beach and rock platforms.
7. Arrive at Wollongong for refreshments overlooking the harbour.
8. Photography advice and tuition included for those who would like assistance.
