Blue Mountains National Park Rain Forest Sightseeing Tour & Bush Walk Gallery

Australian Sightseeing Tours - Rain Forest Tour & Bush Walk

Walk alongside creeks as they begin their tinkling journey to the sea. Stand on sandy beaches and take photographs as you cross below the waterfalls. Perfect in summer with its cooler temperatures, so you can take your time as a photographer or simply admire the rainforest as a bush walker. This is a 3.5 km / 2.1 miles walk on approved tracks .
You may see Waratah, Mountain Devil, Banksia and Drumstick flowers just a few of our many hardy mountain species. Listen for the Black Cockatoo's and look for the Crimson Rozella's and the amazingly beautiful red King Parrots as they fly through the trees.

Blue Mountains National Parks

The Blue Mountains was an ancient eroded mountain range long before the Himalayas and Rocky Mountains started to appear as the Gondwana Continental Plates moved.
Greater Blue Mountains is now a World Heritage listed area. It covers one million hectares of ancient and spectacular national park and wilderness.
Dominated by the Eucalypt forest which grows in temperate climates, it is the same area where the Wollemi Pine was recently discovered by a park ranger as he abseiled into a gorge. The Wollemi Pine was growing 65 million years ago when Tyrannosaurus Rex roamed the earth.

Created one million years ago when rocks were raised above the coastal plains to form a plateau with layers of shale*.
